On the fourth month of the Lunar calendar, when the moon is full, it is the Birthday of Tua Pek Kong, the “God of Prosperity”. Every year, friends of Master Tay would gather at his store to celebrate Tua Pek Kong’s birthday, honouring the god with food offerings and taoist rituals. Friends of Master Tay would bring a roasted pig, fruits and gift ornaments etc to the table, as a form of  appreciation for good wealth and blessings. The gathering bonds this community together, as people get to mingle and know how well each other is doing, at the same time getting advices from Master Tay.
